Alumni Respond

Dear WRHS "Fighting Scouts" Family,

Thank you for the tremendous response and sympathy that we have received and as several of you have requested you can send donations to my little brother, ADRIAN HAVEN at P.O. Box 5012 Window Rock, Arizona 86515. Please make it out to Adrian not AJ. The Haven family is tremendously humbled by the outpouring support that we have received. Words cannot begin to express our appreciation to all of you and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Bless all of you!

Glenn and family,

I am sadden to hear of your mother and sister.  My condolence to you and the rest of the families.
Your parents were a big impact of the WRHS during their lives with us. They were instrumental in the Booster Club and other organization with the school. They will surely be missed by everyone that knew them.

Prayers are with you and the families.

Dear Glenn,

My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to you, your family and all your siblings. I had the pleasure of working for and with your dad at the DNA headquarters back in 1970. Leo was a "great Navajo leader," in my opinion. Your mother was an outstanding and outspoken woman, but always had the warmest heart and was kind to all who worked with your dad. You have definitely great roots there. I pray for you all. If you could please respond I'd like to make a contribution. Take care.

Dear Haven Family,

I was so sad to hear about the accident. Your mom and mine can now share the many stories of the WRHS booster club, and all their kids memories in heaven. I have such fond memories of your mom, and for that matter your family. I graduated with Janelle, was a year behind Randy (who I had a crush on) and two years behind AJ. Your folks where such a positive force for all of us at WRHS!! They will be missed.

God be with you during this time, and always.

Sincerely,
Sue McCauley/Speicher

To The Haven Family,

The Boyd family wishes to extend their condolences to you during this very difficult time. It is always a very difficult time for those of us who are left behind. Take comfort in knowing that you will someday see them again. This is the time for the rest of the family to comfort and support each other. You are definitely in our prayers. Remember the good times and cherish those moments. God Bless you during your time of sorrow. Heaven was just short a few wonderful people so the good Lord took your mother and sister.

Glenn and family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Take comfort in knowing that you all have a large community of friends to lean on for support during this difficult time. Your father was a great mentor of mine during my short time at DNA - his guidance in taking pride of our Dine culture, the correct way to say and do things in Navajo, his gentle smile and kind words and above all his encouragement in succeeding. Your Mom was the same way - always a kind word to say and always without fail to smile and say hello. My prayers are with you and your family.

Glenn,

I should have graduated in 1974-you may remember me. You were my "idol". I appreciated the hard work you did in school and how you excelled in everything.

Please let me know where donations can be sent. I work for Sara Lee (Rainbo) Bakery. I wish I had read your e-mail sooner. If someone from here in Albuquerque were going that way I could have sent some rolls, danish, etc for the family.

My condolences to your family and if there is ever a need for a donation of bakery products, please let me know.
